Rose Consulting exists because most small business websites are quietly failing the businesses they represent. Not catastrophically — just slowly, steadily losing customers to competitors whose digital presence actually works.
We run a modernization pipeline for Detroit-area small businesses. We find weak sites, audit them honestly, and build replacements that are materially better in every dimension that matters: design, performance, search visibility, mobile experience, and conversion.
Bespoke > Template
Every page we build is composed from scratch for a specific business, its customers, and its competitive landscape. We don't sell themes. We don't reskin templates. The layout, typography, color, and messaging are designed once for one business — and that's the point.
Aesthetic > Adequate
"Good enough" is the enemy of trust. A website that merely functions still communicates something about its owner — usually that design isn't a priority. We build sites where the design quality itself is a trust signal, where every typographic decision and spatial relationship earns the visitor's confidence.
Human > Bureaucratic
The digital landscape is cluttered with cookie-cutter pages that serve the content management system more than the person reading them. We believe websites should be inhabitable — clear, purposeful, and designed for the human on the other side of the screen.
The name
r053 is ROSE in leetspeak — a convention from programming and hacker culture where letters are replaced with visually similar numbers. It's a small signal that says we live in both worlds: we write code and we care about beauty. The ✵ is our only mark — a six-pointed asterism that serves as brand punctuation, cursor, divider, and status indicator across everything we build. We chose it because it's precise, unusual, and doesn't try to be a logo.
